My role as a lead content designer is to work with partners to create compelling digital experiences that are guided by data, business goals, customer journeys, user experience, content needs, and SEO best practices. I partner with product marketers, designers, and others to deliver stories that are impactful and meaningful to Medtronic’s customers. Genius Academy is a web experience designed to elevate Medtronic’s position as a leader in AI-assisted medical devices. Colon diseases is designed to help patients understand the benefits of early screening. The gastroenterology experience tells the story of Medtronic’s solutions in this medical specialty. Weight loss and obesity provides treatment information for patients.
Starwood Hotels SPG Moments℠
Starwood Hotels decided it was time to redesign the website for SPG Moments℠, a loyalty program that gives members access to great VIP events. I was lucky enough to do content strategy and copywriting for this large six-month project. Every headline, every description, every button and every piece of navigation needed to be written for this project. I worked closely with the designer, UX team, creative director and account manager to ensure that all the content fit the business strategy and SPG voice.




SPG Dashboard Redesign
The SPG Dashboard gives members access to exclusive bonus points offers and special promotions. It also tracks points, shows where members have traveled and more. I worked with the account, design and user experience teams to write copy for every state of the experience. This role included reviewing a set of detailed wireframes to create a master copy deck.




SPG Moments Email Redesign
The SPG Moments marketing email was redesigned as part of the site update. My role was to write copy for the first email with the new look. We developed multiple concepts for this project to come up with the right business solution.
SPG Madison Square Garden Moments
SPG Moments offers tons of cool events at the Garden. My job was to describe the events and get members excited about them.

I wrote over 70 SPG Moments event descriptions for the website redesign project. Here are just two examples.
Target
As the lead content designer, I planned and led online and new media strategies that achieved Target’s primary business objectives. I partnered and collaborated with Target’s store marketing team, creative team, project management team, technical resources, creative agencies, and technical vendors to implement strategies for large online projects. I also mentored and coached other members of the interactive marketing team.



Verizon Two-Year Anniversary Email
Verizon wanted to have an impactful email for the two-year anniversary of Verizon Up — their customer loyalty program. The goal was to make the email engaging and to show appreciation for Verizon customers.
Marriot Bonvoy Email
Marriott® frequently sends promotional emails to Marriott Bonvoy members. I work with The Lacek Group to create copy for some of these emails. Here’s two examples of what I’ve done.
Marriot Bonvoy Social
Marriott Bonvoy has a strong social presence and promotes to members via several channels. This is an example of an Instagram story that I worked on.





Olson Digital Strategies and Content Plans
At Olson, I worked with the team to create digital content strategies and content plans. These strategies were detailed, data-driven, and holistic. Some of the clients I worked with included 3M and Pure Leaf Tea.


BWBR Blog Posts
BWBR is an award-winning architecture and design firm in St. Paul, Minnesota. I worked with BWBR as a ghost writer to create engaging blog posts about topics relevant to their audience. I also wrote several research summaries for BWBR.
